We invite you to spend some time in prayer. Take a moment to quiet yourself before God and share your thoughts and feelings with him. If you are with others, pray out loud together. If you are alone, know that you are not alone--the body of Christ is praying with you.
Begin by praying the opening prayer. Below that are listed some suggestions for free prayer. Finally, close with the Lord's Prayer and the final prayer.
Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.” Surely he will save you from the fowler’s snare and from the deadly pestilence. He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart. (Psalm 91:1-4)

The Lord’s Prayer
Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name,
your kingdom come,
your will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us today our daily bread.
And forgive us our debts,
as we also have forgiven our debtors.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from the evil one.
For yours is the kingdome, and the power, and the glory forever.
Redeemer God, no words of mine are strong enough or deep enough to express my gratitude for all you have done in the glory of your cross. When my language has pushed its limits, let my love for you and for my neighbor be a poem of praise to your name; take my living and make it a joyful noise that others can't help butjoin in, to your glory. Amen.
