Save the date! Long Scraggy Christmas Carol and Candlelight Service will take place on Saturday, December 20 at 6:30pm in the Roundhouse. Reserve a cabin or come for the evening to enjoy this annual celebration of Christ's birth.

Advent

Advent begins on November 30. Advent begins on the fourth Sunday before Christmas and marks the start of the Church year. It not only looks back to Jesus' first coming but also ahead to our promised future. It is a season of preparation for the coming of Christ.

Please join us in decorating the church sanctuary for this season. 

During the four Sundays of Advent (November 30, December 7, 14, 21) we will begin with combined worship and separate for English and Chinese sermons. 

December 21 will be our combined worship service and Christmas party: We we will have a potluck and white elephant gift exchange. If you are unfamiliar with a white elephant gift exchange, the rules are simple: 

Each person brings one wrapped gift for a gift pile -- your gift should be less than $10. It could be funny or unique. 

Each person picks a number.

The first player selects a gift from the pool and opens it.

The following players can choose to either pick an unwrapped gift from the pool or "steal" a previous player’s gift. Anyone who gets their gift "stolen" in this way can do the same – choose a new gift or "steal" from someone else.

The game continues until all numbers have been drawn and all gifts are unwrapped.

我们将举行聚餐（Potluck）和“白象礼物交换”活动。

如果您不熟悉白象礼物交换，规则如下：

每人带来一份包装好的礼物，价值不超过10美元，可以是有趣或特别的东西。

每人抽一个号码。

第一位参与者从礼物堆中挑选并打开一份礼物。

接下来的参与者可以选择拿还没被打开的礼物，或者“偷走”之前参与者的礼物。

被“偷”走礼物的人也可以重新选择或从别人手中“偷”走礼物。

游戏持续至所有号码都被抽完，所有礼物都被打开为止。
